Dr. Marc Nevins
Learning Objectives:
After watching this video, the viewer should:
- Be
able to visualize the process of ridge preservation on a mandibular right
canine
- Know
how bioresorpable membranes can assist in this procedure
This case will demonstrate treatment of this mandibular
right canine that has a root resorptive lesion on the lingual surface, and
will focus on ridge preservation using a resorbable membrane
for barrier protection in a ridge preservation procedure. The patient presented
with the chief concern of having a root resorptive lesion present for the
mandiublar right canine. The patient desired replacement of the mandibular
right canine with a dental implant. The challenge of the treatment will be to
make a transition from this pathologic natural tooth to a healthy dental
implant with a healthy foundation.
