Large group practices are well positioned to respond to many
challenges clinicians face in the dental practice. Dental insurance, for
example, proves to be a considerable hurdle in today’s market. Customer service
is another critical area to understand. Additionally, according to the American
Dental Education Association, dentists are graduating with debt loads that are
higher than in the past, with little or no debt management training. Every
aspiring dental professional comes to a crossroads where it is necessary to make
important choices before moving on to the next phase of his or her career. Many career paths are available to the recent
graduate, and it is the responsibility of each to fully explore the solo
environment, public health, large group practices, and other such alternatives
in order to arrive at an educated decision of how to take this next step.
